I agree.. Going through the same thing too! I've tried Predinsone(spelling), ibuprofen, aspirin, (not at the same time), chiropractor, acupuncture and my doctor who is an osteopath. Getting an MRI next week.
For you.. try icing it.. Sciatica can mean a lot of different things. I was extremely active until a month ago.. Rather depressing. Good luck. Find a good MD.

I have Sciatica I know it is a condition which there's there's severe pain in the lower back and down the back of the the thigh & leg along the route traveled by the sciatic nerve. It's associated with an inflammation of the sciatic nerve andmay lead to numbness, tingling and wasting of the muscles supplied by that nerve. Are you sure you don't have Fibromyalgia & Arthitis too? Cause if u were dianosed by a Specialist that would've found more than that? All 3 are in the same categorie. I have all 3 and am 15mg morpine morn. & 15mg eve. I suggest if u waked out of there with 0, to go back
& demand that least to start there OR get a second opinion, they know EXACTLY the pain you're in!!!
Hope they will listen, I have a cane you should too instead of putting all r weight on yourself. I also use a small pillow under my back is the ony way I can sleep. Turn side wake up with my thigh paining, 1 leg too heavy 4 the other & I'm not Big, oh yeh I also have Muscle Relaxers. What City/Country u in?

Two ways- acupuncture and surgery. Meditation also can't be ruled out, it is powerful but people find it difficult.
I think your problem has become chronic. You will have to think of surgery. But before that you should try acupuncture. But acupuncturist must be skilled only, otherwise result is zero. I have treated two failed surgeries! A point on that hand instead of this ruins.

call dr and in the mean time use ice packs and light exercise and you really need a muscle relaxer {If ice does not work use hot packs}
