I've been driving over an hour to and from college every day for nearly 2 years and it's driving me bonkers. I about ready to say the heck with saving $$. What do you think?

I guess I did leave this out of the question, but I wasn't planning to give up school (I've come to far for that). But, I was thinking of moving closer. Just wanted to see if it bothered anyone else.

I take the train into Manhattan every day. Because I live out in the boonies it takes over an hour and a half one way if I take an express train, if I take a local it's almost two hours. And then I have to take the subway uptown over 80 blocks. It's not fun.

Wednesday morning it snowed and I was 25 minutes late for a midterm with a hardass professor who wouldn't let me have any extra time.

My morning commute drives be crazy too. Its all about public transportation, since I live in NYC, but its so unreliable...very stressful.

I would add up the average amount of money you've been spending on gas driving all this time. If it adds up to more than dorming would cost, just dorm for your last two years. Take into account the extra expenses you'd have at the dorms though...it can add up too.,

I have a 45 minute drive to go 2 miles to school. Personally I think the State should toll, or people should use public transport or walk to wherever they need to go.

Move closer to school. It'll probably save you both time and money because you won't be spending so much on gas.
