you lived in america and you spoke another language besides english. and you had children by someone who didn't speak that languge(and they can either speak another language or just speake english.)Would you teach your kids your language and would you encourage the other parent to teach that language to your kids? Please explain

Yes! The more languages the better I think. Research has shown that the bilingual child knows more words in both languages by a certain age than the monlingual child knows in one. So you would be giving your child a real head start.

I would teach my kids the language I knew and let the other parent speak their language to my kids. That way they'd know more than one language. They could learn English in school.

Most families like that teach the child both languages.

I would teach them both. It is easier to learn languages when you are younger so it would be good for hin. Just make sure your child wouldn't mix up the languages i.e. a mix of English and French.
