Hi Didger

Here are some ideas on how to heal your condition. #9 or #10 will solve the issue, but you still need to look at your water and nutrition intake in general.

Causes of Hearing Disorders
Among the most common causes of hearing disorders are allergies, antibiotic and other drug use, the buildup of earwax, infection and inflammation, and chronic exposure to loud noises.

Quick Action Plan for Hearing Disorders

1. Clean your ears regularly, using cotton swabs, but do so gently to avoid damaging ear tissue.

2. Avoid exposure to loud noises. If you work in a noisy environment, wear earplugs or earmuffs to protect your ears.

3. Be screened for both food and environmental allergies. A highly effective method for detecting allergies is electrodermal screening (EDS).

4. To eliminate allergies, consider enzyme-potentiated desensitization (EPD).

5. Emphasize a diet rich in organic whole foods, especially plenty of fresh, organic vegetables, along with garlic and onions to boost immunity. Also eat high quality protein foods, such as organic free-range meats, poultry and wild-caught fish.

6. Avoid all foods to which you are allergic or sensitive, and eliminate all commercially processed foods, as well as sugar, refined carbohydrates, alcohol, and caffeine, and all food additives, colorings, and preservatives.

7. Drink plenty of pure, filtered water throughout the day.

8. Useful nutrients for hearing problems include vitamin A, beta carotene, B vitamins, vitamin C, zinc, MSM, and N-acetyl cysteine (NAC). Acidophilus supplements are also recommended to prevent infection and systemic yeast overgrowth (candiasis).

9. Useful herbs include Echinacea, ginkgo biloba, goldenseal, hypericum, and St. John’s wort. Drops of tea tree oil and diluted grapeseed extracts inserted in the ear via an eye dropper can also be helpful.

10. Useful homeopathic remedies include Aconite, Apis mellifica, Belladonna, Chamomilla, Ferrum, phos., Lycopodium, Merc. Sol., Pulsatilla, and Silicea.

11. According to traditional Chinese medicine theory, most hearing disorders are related to imbalances in the kidney meridian system. Rebalancing kidney energies using acupuncture and Chinese herbs can often resolve hearing problems.

12. Auditory integration training, such as the Tomatis Method, can be highly effective for resolving hearing problems related to hypersensitivity to high frequency sounds.

Best of health to you

I have terrible tinnitus.

First off, always protect your hearing from now on or you can quickly make it worse. See a good ENT for an evaluation and referral to an audiologist. They both deal with tinnitus all the time. Also and very important, analyze all medicines, supplements, drugs that you take and see if they might possibly be causing or aggravating your tinnitus. Many common drugs can really make tinnitus worse and if you quit taking them or change meds there is a chance your symptoms will decrease. Just because the drug is listed as possibly causing tinnitus doesn't mean it is so you have to go through a one by one elimination test to see which ones may help by eliminating them. Aspirin and some allergy meds really set off my tinnitus.

If the ENT determines your tinnitus is severe they can send you to a special clinic that only deals with tinnitus patients for masking noise treatments and retraining your hearing. There is no easy cure or treatment for tinnitus. For me it really sucks to hear a million loud crickets chirping 24 hours a day so protect your hearing and get a proper evaluation. good luck

First, you should try to seriously ask yourself how bad it is. If it is a significant, constant, distracting ringing, you should see a doctor. Cause tinnitus can often be a sign of other more pressing problems that need to be addressed. This site seems to be very reliable:

U must seek medical attention. No it is not life threatening, however you will always have this unless you seek an ear, nose, throat specialist. If you are in the Los Angeles area, go to the House foundation. It not then I recommend that you seek one in your area. The longer you put it off the longer it will be there. It can be treated, and it will come and go from time to time.
I only know as I have hearing problems most of my life and I have had to do the same.
Tell them what you have said here and they will know exactly what to do.
Please do not put it off. !!

Best of luck. !!
