How can I make a sound file play simultaneously with my video file?

Question

I recorded a music video from a website, but the program I used didn't record the sound that came with it. I can record the sound separately, so how do I get both files to become one? Can I add a short delay to the sound file?

Use windows movie maker, you should have it on XP already. its is relativly simple to use. just import both the files and then hit save movie as then it will combine them.
