I've been caught up in the Liberal-Conservative war in the Politics section. I spent alot of time there arguing with Conservatives. The result was that when YA started handing out the Top Contribuer awards they gave me only one. That was for politics. I kind of want one for R&S also. I'm an atheist, which I'm sure will influence your answer.

I'm sure Yahoo is hoping to affect people that way. You'll have to ask yourself if getting the Top Contributor will help you with your real reasons for being here. If you're here to try to change the minds of others, do you think having that Top Contributor label will help you?

I only answer questions, and never ask, so perhaps that is why I am not a Top Contributor. I am not going to change my behavior just to get the Top Contributor label.

"A "suitable Contributor" is a member of the Yahoo solutions community who has shown that they are knowledgeable in a undeniable classification. each and every person could be a suitable contributor in a optimal 3 categories. I don't see any reason why not, as long as you are providing quality content, and not just getting on here to flame people, or tell them that God is just imaginary without any sound reasoning to back it up, or putting down others who hold thier beliefs just as sincerely for no good reason.
Gwhiz: it may seem as though atheism would run counter to religion and spirituality, but it is a spiritual perspective nonetheless, and deserves as much respect as any other, you should welcome this input, if for no other reason than to strengthen your faith in the God of your personal understanding, in meditating on all the ways the God of your personal understanding reveals itself to you each day, when someone else is telling you that there is nothing of the sort. In order to understand "why?" sometimes we should also understand "why not?" in order to better understand our own feelings about it....

If you wish, go for it!!! Nothing stopping any one from being a "top contributor". Just means you answer more than others, it doesn't mean we are always correct in what we answer with.
