theres this guy that i really like and he makes me so happy everytime i talk to him and he makes my day that much brighter and i cant stop talking about him to all my friends and he is the sweetest guy ever! and my mom just told me that im not allowed to date him and that i can only date guys that are only one year older than me.she told me not to lead him on anymore but i really like him and shes telling me to stop loving him...is that possible?

it's not possible to deny what your heart is feeling. you can try to supress it but there will always be things to remind you of that love you had for someone. your mom is trying to control your life whether if she means well or not.

No. And sit down with your mother and explain that you really like this guy. That this is your life and not her's. That she should meet this guy before she passes judgement. That she's just being rude and inconcertiate. And that you could be a really bad whose doing drug's and **** and that all you want to do is date a guy you really like whose older than you. You could hide the relationship so easily as well. I did it with my older ex bf because my mom and i have no understanding between each other. She is controlling and rude. And to be honest i hope one day she regrets pushing me away. Explain to your mother that's what she's doing. She's pushing you away. She'll learn to listen. Especially when you act more mature and grown up than her.

who cares how old he is, as long as you are above the legal age that qualifies you as a legal adult then nobody, and i'm sorry to say not even your mother, has the say in who you date, the only time a parent can step in and say otherwise is when it's going on under their roof.
my husband is double my age, and after 7 years i still wouldn't give him up for the world.
if all of the above counts, then you go for it.
once it's obvious he's just as great as you say he is, i'm sure your family will come around in the end.

What is your age if you are 17 or older your mom needs to get over it because when you turn 18 you can move out..

no i have just recently broke up with my fiance who is 31 and i am 17 because he was physically abusing me and as much as everyone says i should hate him you cant fall in and out of love that easily
