Does anybody know what laws Canada may have regarding age requirements for getting a tattoo?

Normally I think it's 18 years or 16 if you have parental permission. It may vary from province to province though.

I'm not too sure about the other provinces but Ontario it is 18. Even if you have parental permission alot of tattoo places won't even do it. Theres one place in Ottawa where if its 3 months before you turn 18 they will tattoo you but not any earlier.

But of course all laws get broken. I actually got my first tattoo done when I was 16. The artist didn't even ask for i.d. I just told him I was 18 and he was like "Alright".

I don't know if there is any. law In Nova Scotia it is up to the tattoo artist. My son was interested but the artist perfers to wait until you are 18 becouse of growing and to be more sure that it is not just a whim you will regret. I think that this is a very professional response.

Its 16 with parents permission, 18 without.
