A bit too "legalistic" - too much emphasis on the "Law" and not enough on "grace". They seem to ignore St. Paul's admonitions that:
1 Cor. 16:2 - Paul instructs the Corinthians to make contributions to the churches "on the first day of the week," which is Sunday. This is because the primary day of Christian worship is Sunday.
Col. 2:16-17 - Paul teaches that the Sabbath was only a shadow of what was fulfilled in Christ, and says "let no one pass judgment any more over a Sabbath."
2 Thess. 2:15 - we are to hold fast to apostolic tradition, whether it is oral or written. The 2,000 year-old tradition of the Church is that the apostles changed the Sabbath day of worship from Saturday to Sunday.
And - the writer of Hebrews 4:8-9 - regarding the day of rest, if Joshua had given rest, God would not later speak of "another day," which is Sunday, the new Sabbath. Sunday is the first day of the week and the first day of the new creation brought about by our Lord's resurrection, which was on Sunday.
Besides all that - I really do like a good steak now and then.
Oh - and don't even get me started on Ellen G. White!!
other than that - to each his (or her) own!

I've met many seventh day adventists in my life, and have yet to locate one I didn't like, trust, and respect. I've read some of the books of Ellen G. White, and found them very enlightening. I live near a city founded by Seventh Day Adventists, and it is one of the most beautful places to drive through that I can imagine.
However, I find some of the regulations that Seventh Day Adventists believe in to be a bit extreme. No Soda, for example. So far, I have never met a seventh day adventist who followed this rule all the time, which makes them feel like hypocrites, and I don't think that is healthy.
The "saturday is the sabbath" issue kind of gets to me too. Everybody knows that saturday is the sabbath... for the jews. Gentile christians in the early church were not allowed into the synagogue on saturday when the jews were having their get together, because the gentiles were unclean, so the gentiles met on Sunday to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus. It's no conspiracy, no satanic plot by the antichrist in Rome. Early church fathers like Bartholemew discuss it in their old writings. Church attendance is not the same as celebrating the sabbath, and that is why the "weekend" is from friday night to Monday Morning. Is it good to have church on saturday? sure. That streamlines things quite a bit, but I don't think it's a sin to go to church on sunday. Was the international date line established with consideration to the location of the Garden of Eden? What happens if we colonize Mars, where the day is 24 hours and 35 minutes longer? When is the sabbath day on Mars?
I'm also a bit disturbed by the way that the institution seems to force it's beliefs on others. I live near a city called "Loma Linda," where there is a huge medical center, mostly run by seventh day adventists. Everyone I know who spends any time working there eventually becomes a member of the church, along with their family... or they mysteriously loose their job. Throughout the city, busnisses, and even the post office, are closed Saturday, and open Sunday. Friends of mine who live there complain that they have to go to other cities to buy alcohol, or to find a decent selection of sodas and meat.
Recently there has been a bit of a scandal involving the city council, which apparently favored seventh day adventist contractors over other, equally qualified, or even better qualified contractors of other religions.
Good people, beautiful city, there's no denying that, but I wonder about those in power. I guess politics are always corrupt, so maybe it's none of my business. There are scandals in my own church too after all.

Hello, Sarah (queen):
I never heard of them for the first 33 years of my life, then discovered most people classify them as Mormons or Jehovah Witnesses.
As a child, I was taught to obey God's 10 commandments, that the fourth was actually Saturday, but Christians keep Sunday. That didn't make sense. So...
When I studied Adventists, I found out it was predicted in Daniel 7:25 that someone would change the law dealing with time. Presto, the world thinks Sunday is correct because Antichrist changed the day of worship. Yes, I'm an Adventist now.
And invite you to read my book On-line. It reveals the key to unlock the code in the only part of the Bible closed until the "end of the days." That code will substantiate your Adventist beliefs in God's plan of redemption, as well as reveal the identity of Antichrist.
Blessings, One-way

They preach a works righteousness false gospel. "When it is in the heart to obey God, when efforts are put forth to this end, Jesus accepts this disposition and effort as man s best service, and He makes up for the deficiency with His own divine merit." - The Signs of the Times, June 16, 1890. The Bible says all our righteous deeds are like filthy rags. None are righteous. Salvation ONLY comes 100% from Christ, who justifies the ungodly, not a "work hard + God makes up the difference" % game where the goal is to be perfect in which case you don t need God because there s no difference to make up. Once a Christian, people are new creations & bring forth good fruit, but it is not fruit + grace -> salvation but salvation -> fruit. Just look at their Investigative Judgment if you think they don t preach works-righteousness. The bible is clear everyone needs the Righteousness of CHRIST, & that the Pharisees of Jesus day were lost because they set up their own righteousness.
Apart from that & other major problems, it should be obvious that any organization that is ok with mothers intentionally hacking up their own children (abortion), yea even murders children in their own hospitals while being supported with $ that is supposed to "further the kingdom of Christ," is not really following Christ.

Its more scripturally sound than 99% of Christianity.
Although I prefer to keep the feasts...7th day adventists seem to look for reasons not to....but the feasts are fun! So I went with Messianic Judaism. Although I almost decided on 7th day adventist. I love that most of them accept the truth about Christmas and Easter.
I really respect they didnt follow the evil command of Vatican to abandon Saturday Shabbat/Sabbath.
Father K is part of the antichrist system....so dont put too much stock there. He told them to tithe on day ONE because it would be the FIRST FRUIT, (idiot) he was not suggesting to change Sabbath.
Baruch Blessings

My belief is that as long as you have spirituality in your life and lead a spiritual life you are doing the right hting. Walk the path that you wish, just walk it tall. I have never had a problem with anyone who was from your church.

Hi. Happy Sabbath. I'm one, too. By the way, I just read others responses. Please remember that a few don't represent all. Some people had bad experiences with our religion. Please know that there are nutcases; zealots; control freaks, etc. in every group and everywhere. Take care.

I don't like them, can't walk into church without a lot of stares, many disapprove and won't have anything to do with me because I eat meat, they are very holier than thou, and they gossip about my mother since she split from her second husband, a lot of untrue bizarre rumors.
Ellen G. White, their prophet was hit in the head with a rock as a little girl, her sanity is questionable
