during the christmas shopping season. but you can get a great deal other times too, really shop around! CHeck out smaller, family owned jewlerry stores, they often have beautiful, quality items, and are willing to give you a bargain. remember- the ticketed price is not always what you'll have to pay! My engagement ring was priced at 5999.99 $! my fiance paid 2500.00 plus tax. it was on sale for 30% off and he talked them down the rest of the way. If you're willing to invest some time in shopping around, you WILL get a great deal! good luck and happy hunting!

Right around the major holidays the stores usually discount their prices to attract customers. Christmas, Valentines day, mothers day, etc are all big jewelry giving days. The bad thing to get around holidays would be flowers...lol. they ALWAYS jack up those prices!!!

I say keep checking around and watch sales. Most stores also offer the option of bringing the item back to the store if it goes on sale within 2 weeks of purchase and get the balance of the sale price vs what you actually paid for it.

i think i remember someone saying December was the best month. i think a major part of getting a deal is also what store you get it from though. not necessarily what store in the mall though since most of those are ultimately owned by the same organization. go to a little mom and pop jewelry place.

Not around any holiday. Thats when they jack up the prices because It's more "romantic" to purpose on a holiday.
