Some people dont eat at all so....they would be really skinny and then if they dont get help die

500 calories a day would cause that person to begin the process of winding down to a full-of-suffering death. One's body needs at least 1300 calories a day just to breathe and function normally, even if one were to just lie in bed all day long. This is why it is so important to make sure you don't eat too little. I used to think that my body at most needed 1000 calories. And you know what? I became anorexic. Now I know that the reason a 2000 calorie diet is what you always hear about (daily values on food are based on a 2000 cal diet for example) is because the average person needs 2000 cals to maintain their weight. Eat less, weigh less, but if you don't exercise to lose weight, you'll just be losing muscle and bone mass.

if some one only ate 500 calories a day their diet would prolly be lacking in a lot of fat soluible vitamins, dieticians do not reccomend going under 1000 a day unless it is an extreme case. instead of focusing on how many calories you eat try focusing on the tings you eat, one doughnut wont make you fat but a dozen will.

They would die of starvation. The average person is supposed to have a 2,000 calorie intake every day. Eating just 500 a day would be like eating 1/4 of what you normally would, it wouldn't be much different than skipping breakfast and dinner and just eating lunch everyday...

You will damage your health, get very skinny, have a lot of health problems, be sick all the time, and die young!
If you want to loose weight cut back to 1200kCal a day. Make sure it is well balanced.
Depending on your BLM you should consume 2000-2400kCal a day, plus drink at least 8 glasses of water a day.

not very good. you need atleast 1200. try to just eat one serving per meal. i fill my plate up, with decent portions. and i have one large drink and i sit down to eat. when i'm done, i'm done. i use to eat my kids left overs or 2nd or 3rd. i haven't done that since dec. 30 and i'm losing weight!!! yeaa!! so do a simple change like that and it'll make a difference!
