Know whacha mean here as everyone thinks their little plot is the entire universe and anything they do is OK. I never use a loud tool before 10 Am and I am the only person within miles who observes this rule. I am always up about 5 to 5:30 AM so I go out to work early and rake manually use manual trimmers and clippers, or super quiet electric things till 10 AM when I let er rip with the big artillery. Only common courtesy. However if my one neighbor starts his mower without a muffler at 7 AM. I have been known to park my running push mower by the hedge for his dinner time cookout (with guests) and let it run the entire time he has company. He then comments that he "understands" and proceeds with his hot rodded souped up "Tim Taylor" at full throttle again in 4 days as he believes two lawn cuts a week are necessary. Any suggestions would be appreciated by all of us tired of rude yard workers.

I just prefer the old-fashioned Rake. It's quiet, it gives you a little bit of exercise, it doesn't use fossil fuels, it doesn't spew fumes.

As for the commenter with rude tool-using neighbors...I may not be a realist about these things, but the tool wars strike me as a bit passive-aggressive. Have you tried conversation?

10 is pushing it. I think 9 is acceptable. And lets add lawnmowers, saws, weedwackers, and hammering to the list.

10 o'clock? What on earth are you doing in bed at that time? (You don't have to answer - it was rhetorical). That's nearly lunchtime.
