We need some opinions! Problem: At least 6 of us are wanting to plan a trip to Vegas. 5 live in Columbia, SC 1 lives in Savannah, GA. We want to leave on a Thursday and Return on a Sunday to get back to work on Monday. Where should we leave out of? ATL, Jacksonville, Charleston, Savannah, Columbia, or Charlotte? What factors should we consider? One problem is upon returning who's gonna have to take that long/short drive back home? Where's the cheapest? What's the best airline? Whose the best travel agent? And American Airlines is out of the question! Along with any other off-brand airlines! Please help! lolol

Well if the flight is not direct, you're most likely going to spend a couple of hours in Atlanta anyway since it is a major hub for most airlines. However if you can get a direct non-stop flight from a closer airport.

If theres no difference in pricing, why don't you just each fly from wherever you are and meet up in Vegas? That would save drive time.

have each of your friends/relative fly from the closest airport to Vegas,, you will end up at the same airport anyway,, just try to find something that come and goes out about the same time, give or take an hour,, i did that once with my cousin,, I got there 1 hr early ,, went to get rental car while I waited to catch up,, with this day of age with cell phone, you will find each other at the airport or destination you plan to meet at??? Or meet up at the hotel in vegas??
Just be forwarned, doesn't matter which airlines, jet Blue, American, there can be delays depending on weather and plane trouble,, my cousin did have to wait on the tarmat, after she boarded the plane due to thunderstorm passing thru...
goodluck

what I would suggest is those of you in SC leave from SC and your friend in GA leave from GA. Meet in Vegas. in my opinion that beats the alternative of short and long drives. Not fun traveling alone but the vacation together is most important part.
