Lol...I just love the people who defend them driving without a license or insurance."They have no choice"...yes,they do.Simple enough,you don't have a license or insurance,you don't drive.Why is it now ok to drive without either while being in this country illegally?Why do they think they have this right?They used their legs to run over the border,use them now to get to where they have to go.

They only have a fake SSN because they are here illegally and given them one would make them illegal. If Mexican people that use a fake SSN want a real one they need to apply for citizenship and go though the proper channels! If they feel like they can break the law in several way ( forgery, illegal aliens, ect.) they need to rethink why there here and if it's worth it. If it is to them correct the wrong they did. If not go back to there own country. Depending on what they choose things would get better for them and doors that where closed would become open. Just my thoughts.

You are making 6 bucks an hour. Your car cost 2500 bucks. Gas is 2.39 a gallon. Why would you spend money on insurance? What gringo would sue you? You just walk away, don't show up for court and buy a new SSN and green card and a 1991 honda civic with some body damage to drive in the left lane at 15 mpg under the limit.

People that break laws usually don't have any compunction about breaking others.
Illegal aliens are NOT the cream of the crop from whatever country or society they came from.
My wife was sideswiped by an illegal alien driving a dump truck with fake ID, insurance, the whole gamut.
WE paid to have our car fixed. If she was injured we would have had to pay the medical bill ourselves also!!!

Because they tend to get away with not having insurance, so why would they pay for something that is not "necessary" to them? Even if they bought insurance with a fake ID, the insurance would be null and void when it was discovered that they lied on their application. Why would people who disregard most of our other laws concern themselves with the laws for driving? These people consider themselves to be above the law, in all ways. They feel "entitled."

In many cases it is probably due to ignorance. Insurance systems are not exactly easy to understand, and many illegal immigrants are from very poor/uneducated areas. It is doubtful that they would have any prior experience with insurance, so they probably would not try to get any.
But even more important is the fact that it would be easy to track them down if they had insurance. The only way to get money from an insurance company is to file a police report; no illegal immigrant would want to get caught up in that, for obvious reasons.
It's actually safer, from the immigrant's point of view, to drive uninsured.

I've often wondered the same thing. These documents serve every other purpose in life. I think everybody should have insurance. With cars and truck costing thousands we all need some kind of protection in the event of an accident

What does a SS# have to do with auto insurance? They STEAL the SS# but they have to pay for insurance. They can't steal that.
Besides, if they don't care about our immigration laws they sure wouldn't care about obeying the law about driving and auto insurance. For example, tegally they are not suppose to drive in CA because they don't have a drivers license but they do anyway!

Do you want them to have fake auto insurance too? How will it help you. Fake auto insurance will pay only for fake accidents. You should ask to give them real SSN so that they are forced to get real auto insurance. Then you can get your car fixed.
