My son needs to answer this question for Sunday School class tomorrow. We've looked for it, but have been unable to find the answer. Do you know what chapter/chapters this is in? Thanks.

Yes, Paul was an apostle to the nations, directly chosen by Jesus. He was not one of the 12.
Romans 1:13 I am the Apostle to the Gentiles.
There were more apostles chosen then. Romans 16:7 Andronicus and Junias....
Many times Paul is called and apostle, but admitted he did not deserve it.
