I live in the Austin area and I know that I need a portfolio with like some 8x10's and Rembrandt's, but I don't know much other than that. I've got a couple of pictures already but I'm unsure of where to send them too. Preferably in town.

Have you tried modeling agencies? Yes, they are expensive, but they also have the best number of incoming job spots.

If you want to go on the cheap, try going to http://austin.craigslist.com and seeing if there are any opportunities. You may be able to hook up with a budding amateur photographer, and you can help each other out with getting portfolios generated.

(you probably don't want *THAT* kind of amateur photography - those nudie pics have a habit of sneaking up on you later in life, especially if you become a big name)

fhotoace does it again, OMP or one model place.com is a great place to start. See if any area photographers are offering TFP (Time for Prints) good start but sometimes not the best quality.
