The exact definition of natural flavorings & flavors from Title 21, Section 101, part 22 of the Code of Federal Regulations is as follows:
"The term natural flavor or natural flavoring means the essential oil, oleoresin, essence or extractive, protein hydrolysate, distillate, or any product of roasting, heating or enzymolysis, which contains the flavoring constituents derived from a spice, fruit or fruit juice, vegetable or vegetable juice, edible yeast, herb, bark, bud, root, leaf or similar plant material, meat, seafood, poultry, eggs, dairy products, or fermentation products thereof, whose significant function in food is flavoring rather than nutritional."
In other words, natural flavors can be pretty much anything approved for use in food.

They said naturally flavored.. not naturally CHERRY flavored.. So it tastes like the ingredients they use. May only be the sugar is natural and it tastes sweet. Play on words are used all the time in marketing.

i'll save you the confusion. get yourself a juicer! and juice everything. then there is no confusion. my brother bought me my juicer last year and we juice the left over fruit from the fruit bowl. infact i need to juice some apples that are getting "old". just peel off the bruised skin, throw in the juicer and viola. juice. i love nana-apple-pear juice. mmmmmmmmmmmmm
