I have tried asking some apologists on another website and for some odd reason, they never answer my questions regarding the bible. I would like to dare any believers to answer WHY, if the bible is divinely inspried, why is it full of flaws and errors?
A few examples would be, the bible states the earth is flat, it states that insects have 4 legs, in Luke it states that the post resurecction appearance happened in Jersusalem when Matthew says that it happened in Galilee, 100 miles away.
Also, all 5 gospels give different descriptions and accounts of the death and ressurection of Jesus
I could give more examples but those are just a few.
How can you defend it and say it is divinely inspired when it is clearly flawed?

the Bible never said the earth is flat nor that insects have four legs. These are colloquialisms: "ends of the earth" is a term anyone can understand to mean "furthest boundaries" and "crawl on all fours" is a term anyone knows to mean "does not walk upright".
I never heard of that contradiction of post resurrection. I checked it, and it doesn't say where Jesus rose. All it says is that He walked and talked with people on the road and He told Mary Magdalene that He would meet His disciples in Gallilea.
there are only 4 gospels: Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, and no they don't. They just give different amounts of info and certain things they paid more attention to. Mark liked to get to the point right away, while John liked to look at the smaller details. Luke was a doctor, so the human aspects are what he paid the most attention to. Matthew liked to focus on the miraculous.

Show me where the Bible says the earth is flat. The insects could be considered to have 4 legs if you label the two front legs as something else. As for Jesus appearing both in Jerusalem and Galilee, that was not a problem for him; he could to it. There are only 4 gospels, not 5, and the differences in the accounts after the resurrection of Jesus show that there was no collaboration in devising a story of his resurrection. God inspired the Bible, but I don't think he gave them word-for-word what to say; they used their own minds and vocabulary to write it.
Another thing, I don't think the translators of the Bible were as inspired as the original writers, but there is enough agreement between the various translations to establish the major doctrines of the Bible.

Because it is a cultural record written by man inspired by God. Inspired does not mean God stood over them and told them what to say. They are telling the faith stories through memories passed down, parables, metaphors. THe fact that it is flawed gives in more crediblity as a collective cultural work, afterall no two people remember a story the exact same way. The bible is not a divine work written by God, nor is it a history or science text. The men and women that wrote it, like men and women today were limited in their knowledge and perceptions of the world.

I will answer one, you can do your own work to find the other answers. Jesus preached what different people would be doing at the second coming. Some of those things were done in the morning, some in the afternoon, and some in the middle of the night, and yet the second coming would occur in an instant. There's only one logical explanation...you know logic, don't you?...Jesus knew that the earth was round 2000 years ago.

Stupid question. You sound repressed. I avoid arguments. Most people who argue are either thieves, hoods, or drunks. If it doesn't do anything for you, how come you're carrying on about it? That's how I do things. I don't bother with what doesn't help. So, harsh as this may seem? Your question is substanceless, marks you as dishonest, and just looking to get in a spit wrestle match. Hey, get a life, man. Obviously nobody cares enough about you to tell you that. Hope this helps.
