Okay, so there is this guy at school that I really think I love. You may think that you can't "love" at 13, but I just need someone to confirm this. I've liked him for about 2 years now, and he's really nice to me. He makes me laugh all the time, has a great personality, is super smart and cute... and I'm completely head over heels for him. How will I know if he likes me? Will I ever get over him?

And I'm too shy to ask.... I know it sounds really dumb, but I think I'd actually tell him by the end of the year - before we start high school - that I love him, even though after middle school I'll never see him again, because he's going to a top notch private high school.

He will probably tell you if he likes you and yes you will get over him, when you're older. I was just like this when I was in grade school. I had a huge crush on a guy from 2nd grade to 8th grade, but all it was was a CRUSH. I'm in college now and yes, I still think about the guy but there are no feelings attached. Trust me, its extreme lust and you'll grow out of it eventually.

Mate really no one can really tell you that you love someone. Its more of a feeling that you know that you do. does that make any sense at all??
Im 20 going 21 ok.. Ive only just met a guy who I think well I know that Im in love with because... for me it takes alot 4 me 2 say the "L" word and I now Ive said it and it brings me 2 realisation yknw??? That I am. So really only you can answer this question.

You'll know if he likes you, cause he wont pay so much attention 2 u if he didnt altho be mindful cause some guys give you all their attention only to want 2 get you in bed. So keep a watchful eye out kk

Do you mean how are you going to know without asking? 'Cause this is definitely the best way. I do think it's possible to "love" at 13, but it's also very rare. What I mean is, I think everyone on earth at that age, has had a HUGE crush on someone and frequently, for a very long time. But you realize as you grow older that people change (including yourself). Plus, I know that it's hard to believe right now, but you will meet new people, and you will find another special someone just as interesting as this one! Good luck!

I wouldn't doubt it that you were in love. It doesn't matter if your 13 or 150. You can be in love. Especially if your mentally mature. And if you want to avoid destroying a friendship try being subtle. Flirt and maybe start being a bit more touchy. And as for getting over him? That's more like a half and half. He's your first love but he maybe your only love ever it just all depends. You can eventually get over him or you two could get together and be together for forever. You never know. Just take it easy. Your 13 your whole lifes ahead of you.

Get over it. You're 13 for crying out loud. He won't be the last guy you will be infatuated with...believe me. The chances that he is "the one" for you is probably about one in a billion so just lighten up, enjoy your youth. Straight-out ask the guy if he likes you and who cares if he doesn't....NEXT!!! You've got all the time in the world.
Are you in love? Nope...not a chance. You are infatuated and you have raging hormones coursing through your body at that age. What you're feeling is what a young lady or guy feels round about your age...
In ten years, you probably won't even remember his name or be giving him a second thought....

Well it sounds like you really truly like this guy.
But at 13 I don't think it's AS common to be in love as it is to be in lust/like/crush with a boy.
When you are 20 you will look back at your teen years and realize the differences between like and love...you'll also be happy about it.
As for him liking you, just look for signs. He'll want to talk to you, be around you, laugh and tell jokes with you and do things with you.
When boys are young they're more obvious about their love than they are when they're older.

well, there is a small chance that is in fact love...but considering your only 13, its probably just an infautaion...just get to know him more, hang out with him more, and see if you feel comfortable around him and vice versa. Your relationship could go far and it may develop into love if it isnt already.

i feel you. i have the same problem except we just entered high school this year and i dont know him. if i were you i would tell him on the last day of school. that way if he doesnt like you back you never have to see him again.

i liked someone when i was 13, and still like him now, although not as much. you might think your in love with him now, but later your gonna say to yourself, "nah, it was just a crush" i've had many of those.
however if you really think its real then try it, ask him out.
