I am an atheist. I went to church twice as a child, and because I didn't believe in god or any god, I stopped going. So part one, I don't go to church anywhere. On Sundays, I often sleep in. What do I ask for when I pray? I don't pray. I don't ask for things from a higher power. If I want my relative in the hospital to get better, I go visit with them and tell them that I want them to get better. I don't believe that there is anybody watching over me. And surprisingly, that doesn't bother me; instead, it empowers me.

They don't go to church and they don't pray, that's the whole point of being an atheist. The definition means that you do not believe in god or religion, and you don't believe in an afterlife...

There actually is an atheist church in Dallas. I don't know what they do there, but I would bet they don't pray.

They go to church in their own homes. Simple, yet efficient.

They ask for Christians to stop annoying them to hell and back when they pray to themselves; otherwise known as the "thinking process." (Not trying to say Christians don't think, just trying to say that in Atheism, every thought is a prayer to themselves and fellow atheists.)

Now, a Shintoist like myself respects these as much as he does Christianity. Why can't you two groups just get along, or ignore each other, even?

They go to church in places with mandatory religion, and I am sure they are not happy about it.
They also would only pray when it was compulsory, and I would guess they would pray that maybe, one day, they would be left alone by religious people..

Atheists don't go to church. We don't worship or pray to a killer God.

you will see them in every church, looking to impress the religious business men in the congregation. and pray to the god of mammon, for more money,
the only time that they truly pray is when they are so desperate the they stop worrying about their image,, and really need Gods help.

Atheism isn't a religion. I don't go to church, and I don't pray.
