i want to know why 666 is considered as an evil sign by the people

Revelation, Chapter 13 speaks of "the beast" and how to identify his followers. According to verses 16 and 17, they will have the mark or the name or number of the beast on their right hands or foreheads. Verse 18 introduces the number 666 itself: "Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six."
It's unclear why the specific number 666 is the number of the beast.

it refers to the number of the beast in the book of Revelation and anyone taking it will be cast into the lake of fire
I do not think there is a consensus what 666 stands for but many ideas... early Christians noted that in greek Jesus adds to 888 and if 777 Jesus completely exceeds perfection and 666 completely falls short
John 6:66 makes the ominous statement that many who followed Jesus turned away.
Some noted that man is made on the 6th day... and 3 is associated with God and the trinity, 666 may in some way be man trying to be as God

I'm going to tell you what I read in a book about the bible: John wanted to tell 7 churches in Rome about the teachings of Christ and Christs Revelation to him. however, this was a time of widespread and very brutal persecution of Christians so Johns letter was written in something like a code. He used lots of symbolism which makes the book difficult to understand. Now, each letter of the Hebrew language ( I believe it was the Hebrew language, I don't have the book with me) has a number assigned to it. when you add the numbers for the name Nero Caesar the sum is 666. It is believed by scholars that 666 represents Nero who was quite vicious in the persecution of Christians.

You need to keep in mind the culture this came from. 666 is a coded referance to Nero Caesar.

yes true to most all of the above, but some say it is inverted and should be 999 (since we see a vision in our head inverted)
I don't believe in either since the Bible can be interpeted in other ways

It is mentioned in the Bible to be the number of the Beast. There's nothing very important about it though.
