Possible, yes, practical, no. It would be a lot easier to buy one, or use solid state DC to AC inverters with a battery, and a solar cell to keep the battery charged.
If you want to persist, the first thing that you need is a wound rotor motor. Induction motors could be used, but the wound rotor is better. You need to mount it so that it is true both horizontally, and vertically. Then you need to be sure that the motor is balanced, you don't want it to vibrate to much, if at all. Then the same goes for the motor to drive it. I would recommend using pulleys and a belt so that any imperfections in matching the motor to the generator will not be to bad, and can be easily compensated for. Either the generator, or the motor needs to be mounted so that it can be moved toward the other machine, or away from it to tighten or loosen the belt(s) for removal, or tightening as the belts stretch. After doing all of this, or hopefully just contemplating all that needs to be bought, and assembled you will agree that buying one is the better idea.

You need a power source to turn an electric motor wired as a generator.

U can get a DC to AC converter that could handle 4 KW.U hook it up to a good battery.
