I've had a look around R&S today and it seems everyone is getting along fine. Drinking jokes aside.
The Network thing is working well, Q&As are humerous, interesting and courteous. And I'm just as guilty with my 'Be Excellent to Each Other' thing.
I suppose you're all jolly pleased with yourselves, aren't you?
I just wonder what sort of impression Regulars think we are giving to Newbies? I ask you people, is this the sort of thing we want to encourage in Religion and Spirituality?

Well, I never claimed to be the perfectly enlightened Buddhist and I get worn down by all the people who cry "pity poor me" while bashing the LGBT and atheists and whomever-else-we-want-to-bash people, then thumb down and report anybody who disagrees. I wear down and lose patience too. These are the people (not just people who call themselves "Christians", there are others who rank themselves as other religions who pull the same) who hurt people badly out there, psychologically, and physically, or open the door for others to think it's perfectly okay to do the same thing and get away with it. And when it's someone who claims to be so well educated, with their smug "religious" (usually not) proclamations of "going to hell if you don't do as I say", it causes even MORE harm... they are the ones who are even MORE guilty than those who are merely ignorant and simply toe the party line.
Let THAT be my statement in here to the newbies.
