I would say so, BUT, I would much rather be outside with the computer, that is what laptops and pda's are for, or just remote units.. like a remote keyboard and remote screen etc.
I pry myself away from the computer to be in the sun.. but you need a break from the sun every so often (that is what night is for afterall)
if you do bring your comp outside make sure it doesn't overheat from the sun.

Personally, I think that going on the computer is more fun. But take a break every once and a while. Or, get ice cream! Going outside is more healthyish..

God created the outside; man created the inside, so I think it logically follows that when we are outside we are closer to God and we are closer to our fellow man when we are inside.
Therefore the answer to this question depends on who you want to be closer to.

In my opinion? Yes. However, it wouldn't hurt to leave the computer for half a hour or so.
