I guess I am just cranky today, but I have a very hard time taking anyone seriously who can not put two words together without spelling one of them incorrectly, or wording their questions and comments with horrid grammar. I do want to also say that I find atheists tend to be better writers here. Oh, and I do make exception for Tragic Typos. Those are my favorite questions. Yes, I will have some cheese with my wine. I would like the Morbier, please.

I am no expert. Split infinitives have always been my down fall. Mea culpa.

You wrote, "I do want to also say that I find atheists tend to be better writers here."
Personally, I do also want to say that, "Want to also say," is a split infinitive, and hilarious in that sentence. In context, it shows that you aren't the person to judge who is a good writer. Your whole comment was on the grammar of others, so it cost you credibility.
Generally, grammar and spelling errors do not show a lack of logical thinking skills. That is unless they are trying to pass themselves off as an English language expert.
(I speak English as a 4th language, so I am not an expert either.)
Sometimes people will use another's spelling mistakes to run to as a last shelter when their own argument has been destroyed by the logic of an inferior speller. That does annoy me.

I have a Master's Degree in English, and I taught college classes for awhile. I used to be annoyed by all the grammatical, spelling, and punctuation problems that people make here. I thought that if the person couldn't be bothered to check something as simple as spelling, then why should I trust in the rest of their facts?
Then I mellowed out a lot and decided that there was no point in making such a big deal out of it. Not everybody is as aware of details as I am, and there's no point in expecting everyone here to write polished prose.
Now I try not to let all the typos and spelling errors bother me because I realize that this is informal writing. As long as the person's logic is sound and I can understand what they're trying to say, that's good enough.
Incidentally, I am a Christian.

Enjoy the Cheese! Some may not know the language well. But I think most are in a hurry to get the points. Yes, the tragic typos are sometimes fun.

I'm right there with you. I'm willing to be lenient on grammar errors to a degree but spelling errors when there is a big freaking 'check spelling' button makes me want to scream.

It depends on how unintelligible it makes the question. Some people are just bad at spelling, others at typing.
Often you see those who could maybe have worked harder at school, but they still have something to ask.

No way. I sometimes point that out in my awnsers, or if its a yes or no question then I would probaly say no; since their spelling is bad. Perhaps they are just in a hurry or so.

Ugh...I feel dirty now. Yes, I get really annoyed by people who make no effort to make themselves understood. It shows serious lack of respect for the reader.
