No such thing as average age really. They're all different. My last ginger she cat lived until 21 years old! Other cats I've had have lived half that age.

I would say on average its around 15 yrs or so, however cats often live much longer. I had a cat that lived to be 22 years old. He lived through moving to 3 different homes and he recovered from being attacked by a dog at a young age. He had what vets often call a "glass jaw" , but he was a trooper and never really was affected by it much. He was probably one of the most energetic, happy cats that I have ever had.

I had 2 cats, 1 lived for 19 yrs. + & 1 lived to be 18 1/2. So I would agree with most of the answers above. Average about 14-17 plus or minus.

The oldest cats live between 17 or 20 human years (being 20 years something really exceptional), but they live in poor conditions, most of them will have digestive problems or are deaf and blind at the moment of reaching that age. It is normal for a cat to live 12 years without any major issue.

If it was a healthy cat, it will live 15 years at the most, maybe longer, but some cats will live 10-12 years.

Cats can live up to the late teens usually. Every cat I've had that died naturally was at least 16. One of my aunt's cats lived to be 19.
It also depends on if they are indoor or outdoor. Cats that are allowed to go outdoors are more prone to diseases that can be life-ending. Leukemia vaccinations are only about 75% effective from that I've learned in the past. Indoor cats will be with you much longer.

I'm not sure what the average is....perhaps from 12-15. My one cat lived until she was 18 and my friends lived until she was 20. Indoor cats live much longer due to the fact that they are not subjected to outdoor dangers and disease.

7-10 years but these days many well lookled after cats will live much longer. A friend of mine had a cat that lived for 17 years!!!! On average we say that one human year equals 7 cat years.

if in good health 15 is a good age 20 is old 37 was the oldest cat that was just so you know that was for indoor cats outdoor cats sadly dont live as long i hope that helped you
