most of the times during a sneeze (there are a few times when it doesnt occur but rarely) my chest (sternum area) "cracks". it is something i can feel and hear (although it is loud and i sometimes wonder if im just feeling it and believing im hearing it). it is painful when it happens but the pain goes away almost instantly and my chest never hurts when im not sneezing. i am a healthy 27 year old male with the only medical issues in my life being a few broken bones in my leg and arm. i had gone to the doctor about this and he told me it was just cartlige making the noise and it is nothing to worry about. but it is in incovinece knowing that when i am going to sneeze i get a pain in my chest (even if it is short lived). anyone ever expeince this or have an ideas what may be causing this or how i can fix this problem.

sounds to me like your sternum is cracked. Did you get and x-ray of your chest? maybe you should get a second opinion from a completly different doctor

Relax, nothing serious. Just like your spine cracks, your rib heads are mobile as well and can crack - noise, not like breaking.
