I was with a girl when I was 18. After a disagreement I had told her to stop calling me. I saw her about a year later and she had a baby and was going with a person I grew up with. We weren't great friends but I know his nickname and not his full name. This was 21 years ago and I have a general idea of where the mother was living at the time I saw her, but I do not know the exact street address.

I use to use a site called net detective. In it was a place to put in the last known address or the social security number or even the date or place of birth. It does cost a few bucks but I have to say it was worth my money. I found some old friends and some relatives I didn't keep in touch with for many years. It's a whole lot easier than trying out the free ancesory site searches.

Check out local hospital records, hospitals in that area. Try to find family members. Go to churches for baptisms---at least you know the mom's first name and generally what she looks like. Check out newspapers for birth announcements, and if you have some cash hire a P.I. Maybe put an ad out in the newspapers asking for girls that age or the mother to contact you thru a P.O. box. I hope your search goes well!! You and your daughter deserve to find each other.

If you are sure she exists then get hold of the census records. If you know the father, then the daughter should have resided at his residence for at least the first 15 years of her life. This will then give you the mother's name and you can extend the search from there. Good hunting.
