without knowing the context, it's hard to say. possibly he means that he would have liked for you two to have grown up together. this could be a positive thing in that he would've liked to spend even more time with you, or it could be him saying that if you'd known each other earlier it might have worked out but he just isn't ready for relationships (or isn't available) now.

It usually means that they like you, but they are unavailable and happy with their current relationship. They say "I wish I met you earlier" because if they had met you before their current partner they might have dated you.

"I wish I met you earlier" pretty much means just that. There is not hidden meaning behind it it simply means earlier in life as opposed to the actual time you met.

usually a guy says that when hes starting to like u but hes in a relationship their fore he tells you "i wish i met u earlier" because he may be commited

It sounds to me like he is saying exactly that. He is now involved with someone and wishes he met you b4 he got involved.

it maeans that who sayed that loves/wants/appreciate u that he wants 2 get back all the time before he met u, i would take that as a flatt, that's ok
