Do you want your mom to trust you and give you more freedoms as you prove yourself more responsible or do you want your mom to cut your Internet access and ground you to your room for the foreseeable future?

If you don't do anything on-line that would make your mom freak than you'll take the first track.

If you lie and hide your Internet actions your mom will eventually find out and you'll take a quick trip down the second. She's already checking on you and believe me, we parents have a wide arsenal at our fingertips starting with a simple search of a computers history, ranging to software that tracks your usage and even key loggers that will give us exactly what you typed.

as bad as this is, what i would do is make 2 screennames, one she has, and one you use with your friends. then make a nice profile for her to see, etc. and your normal profile. just block her from the screenname you dont want her looking at and itll work out, as long as she doesnt figure it out! either that, or keep your profile clean.

Be thankful your mom is making sure you don't do anything you shouldn't be doing. You have a good mom. Go hug her and tell her how lucky you are to have her.

Good luck!

You should tell her the truth about what you have in your profile, and if your mom doesn't agree with you then tell her that it is your own profile and it won't hurt her.
