I would say that you can't buy this anywhere. You can find soft, temporary cements in the drug store, but the stuff we use for posts is much stronger than that stuff. If you used this to put a post in, it would soon dissolve in your saliva and then the post prep would serve as a conduit to practically siphon bacteria down to the very bottom of your tooth and you would end up with a decayed root that will be non-restorable and very difficult to remove.

I'm a dentist.

There are many cements that have been used, past and present, to "glue" crowns to teeth, however, they all fall into one of three categories of cements: zinc phosphate, glass ionomer, or resin.

Generally, most of the products we used or medical grade, and as such can only be sold to licensed doctors. As far as I know, you cannot simply visit a dental supply company and purchase products the way you can purchase a book from Amazon.com. Every site I have visited has required from me a license number and office address.

Furthermore, try to keep in mind that the products we use are meant to be used on teeth. Teeth, unlike most of the things everyday people want to glue together, contain water and organic matter. Thus, the adhesives we use are designed to adhere to teeth, and as such may not be very good for bonding, say, plastic parts together.

Our office uses RelyX luting cement...its a resin...by 3M...but...its not something you can buy....well....who knows with the internet these days...

oops....I didnt realize it was a post/crn...we use metabond for that...still not something you can buy....sorry...your best bet if your crown is loose, is to make an appointment

after doing a little research much to my surprise I found that most of these cements ( not all ) can be purchased on ebay...I would not reccomend re-cementing a post crn back in on your own in any permanant way...but owning a temporary cement and cementing yourself until you can be seen by a dentist is not a bad thing...providing nothing has broken and cementation is possible..Good luck

You should go to the dentist if there is a problem with your crown.

We tend to use Zinc Phosphate and it's good and reliable, dont think to my knowledge that you can purchase it if you dont work in the dental field!
try making mates with either a dentist or a dental nurse!
