Cook the wings (bake or deep-fry) as desired.
Half melted butter, half hot sauce (the traditional is Tabasco, but I prefer Crystal or Frank's Red Hot, even Texas Pete is better.) Toss wings in mix. Serve with blue cheese dressing and celery sticks.
That's the original recipe.

Hot Chicken Wings
Ingredients:
2 1/2 pounds Chicken wings; separated
5 tablespoons Louisiana hot sauce (or less to taste)
2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
1 tablespoon White vinegar
1/4 teaspoon Garlic powder
Directions:
These screaming hot chicken wings are easy to prepare, and can be made hot, hotter and scorching hot by adding more hot sauce. Enjoy these wings with celery sticks and Cool Cucumber Dip to help extinguish any fires.
Set oven to broil and place rack 6 inches from the element. In a medium sized mixing bowl combine hot sauce, oil, vinegar and garlic powder. Place chicken wings on a broiling pan. Using a pastry brush, coat the wings with the sauce mixture. Broil the wings for 7 minutes on one side before turning them over and broiling for another 7 minutes. You can also cook these wings over the barbecue. Cook wings for the same amount of time over medium high heat. Be sure to preheat the barbecue and brush the grill with oil to prevent sticking.
This recipe for Fiery Hot Chicken Wings serves 2.

wash & seperate wings into wingettes & drumettes, pat dry with paper towel, deep fry in 400 degree vegetable oil for 12 minutes or bake at 420 for 1 hour. Mix 1/2 cup franks red hot with 1/3 cup melted butter or margerine in a large container with a lid. Add wings to container and shake vigorously, add more butter & hotsauce if necessary to completely coat the wings, serve hot with celery & blue cheese...
(this is the original anchor bar recipie from buffalo ny-my home town)
If you want the wings hotter add a tablespoon of habenaro pepper sauce such as "daves insanity sauce"
For Barbeque, substitiute your favorite bbq sauce for butter & hotsauce.
for that yummy "burnt ends" taste pop the wings in the broiler for a minute or two- this is especially good on bbq wings!
