i wont waste your time here, most people who are looking down there nose at you well that's not their REAL nose..get my drift?
the first ones to judge are the ones who spend hours at the gym/beauty parlor/plastic surgeon/ or tanning salon. this is just how we choose to honor our bodies. keep getting tats and send me the pics.

The best thing is to just ignore those kind of people. I have a 6ga circular with spikes in my left ear(pierced at an 8ga :), lol), and a couple of tattoos. I see people look at me funny sometimes, but just ignore them.
The best thing, though, is showing them that you are intelligent, especially when you prove you are more intelligent than they are, lol. For example, I have almost 20 years of computer experience(about to be 18 years to be exact), in hardware mostly, but also in software. Now how old would you expect someone to be when you hear something like that? 35? 40? Well, I'm actually turning 26 this month. That's right. We got our first computer when I was 8 years old, and I started learning how to use it. Then got a little further into software, and then into hardware. I could build a computer by the time I was out of 6th grade. The thing that really gets people when I say this is my appearance. Most people expect someone with the knowledge of computers I have to look all professional. If you want to see my pic, send me a message through my profile, and I'll send you the link to my myspace page.
I also love it when people try to talk religion to me(I'm not religious) saying that it's "desecration of the holy temple" to have tattoos and piercings. Just tell them, "I'm not desecrating, I'm decorating." :)

The thing is, when you started your mods you knew that people were lame about piercings/tattoos. I knew that as well. I have 8 piercings and am in the process of my first tattoo. I get dirty looks. And rude comments. But I knew that people were this judgemental before I started my piercings.
It's part of having piercings. Honestly, you either need to get over what people think, or take out your piercings/hide your tattoos. You shouldn't really care so much about what others think.

That's how the sterotype works.
It's stupid, but it's not something that is going to change anytime soon. That is unfortunetely the way life works. You can either conform or deal with snotty people.
Basically you're conceptual art. You can't expect people to get it. Which I think is kind of unfortunate. The only thing you can do is try to show them you're a better person then you think.
My boyfriend has a satan fish tatooed on his back. No one thinks anything great about him until they get to know him. I'm happy I could see past it, my Mother however well she's still afraid of him and goes what happened to that nice boy with the girly hair (my ex)?

so Jordanian_rose has "ear loops"?
oh well...
good for you! i can pierce, because of metal rejection, but by god, i can tattoo, and tattoo i will!
unfortunately, the world judges by appearances first, and hearts last. i assume that even the most heavily tatted 300 lb man is a big teddy bear! unless you prove otherwise, i will never think you would be b*tchy or stupid. don't worry about what ignorant people think. they're too busy worrying if they have something hangin out their noses.

Wow thats a lot! Umm..if you like it, don't worry about what others think. Everyone has a different style and this is just yours. Be happy and flaunt it! Its like my mother always says...If you let other people judge you all the time and your constantly feeling down about it, your going to live a very miserable life. So be happy with yourself! Good luck! I hope I've helped!

people like to judge those who are not like themselves. try to only see it like that. they are limited by their own viewpoint. there are a lot of people who like piercings and tattoos. every person is different in some way or another. if everyone was the same how boring would that be? get tough my dear. you cannot please everybody and trying to do so will only make you crazy.
i'm 50 have 11 piercings, 1 tattoo and dentures. oh well to anyone who doesn't understand.

If someone looks down on you, just keep your head up. The better person regardless of body art will always accept a person for what is inside.

it's a stereotype that has not been eradicated from society yet. it's a shame but it's their loss, not yours. do you really want to be friends with people who are so closed minded and judgmental that they would make assumptions about you just because of the way you look? i say no thank you!
