Okay, so my hair has been poofy like this most of my life. But last Saturday, I had temporarily dyed my hair (which means there was no ammonia in it), and the dye seemed to make my hair nicely conditioned and weighed it down (which was what I had wanted, along with a different hair color). But now, the poof is acting up again. I use Pantene shampoo and conditioner, but all of the things I've tried haven't really works. My hair isn't really curly, just POOFY AND OUT OF CONTROL!!!Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr!! Help!!!

For a hair that is poofy, there's is nothing you can really do unless you want to spend a little money. You got to spend a lot of time on it too. Hair spray then blow dry it down. Pantene hair products besides conditioner? Is it thick? Maybe you should consider a haircut that thins out your hair, layers? Or trimming all the damage ends. Ever straighten it?

Try using a permanant straightner! Or if you don't want that then use a flat iron on it! I have extremely poofy hair too, I flat iron mine right after I blow dry it and it works great for me! You can get a really nice one at Sally's or any where they sell hair supplies! They have some great ones that aren't that expensive!

Try john frieda's frizz ease product line.. they have a great shampoo called straight ahead shampoo & conditioner.. follow them with the frizz ease hair serum, and straight answer styling spray to keep your hair from gaining extra body when blow drying... keep in mind that your hair cut can also determine the amount of body and height you'll get...

whats your race?? if your white you should get it professionally straightened which will last you a very long time or use a curl controlling shampoo other than pantene, the Garnier Fructis line is really good...if your black or mixed and want straight hair, get a relaxer,or if you want curl, get a texturizer...hope this helps =]
