It is typical of new track surfaces. Look at Charlotte the last 2 years. They will get it sorted out and this time next year it will be a seasoned track with multiple grooves.

No. In a year or two, the track will be great. Much better than it was before.

In my opinion, they over corrected. They should have used the smaller fuel cell and left the tire alone. The point of the smaller cell was to pit more, so less laps were put on the tires. When you bring a tire that is as hard as a rock, it is a moot point. Pitting more often would have reduced the tire wear, and everything would have been fine. By bringing in the brick-like tire, they actually made a bigger problem that is just as dangerous. But, hey, what do I know?

I don't think the problem is with the track. I heard that the cars are on average about 10mph faster since the new track was completed. Goodyear needs to stop comming up with a new tire to make the race "more competitive" because all they are doing is making the sport more dangerous.

I dont think its all the track some of it has to do with the tires that they brought to the track. Stewart said they were too hard and didnt grip the track at all, and of course Goodyear in their infinite wisdom only tested right side tires and changed left side as well without testing them at all, and this is what you get.

No, it will be very rough the first couple of races, but it will get better and be a great place to go watch some racing.

No. Not at all. Drivers always complain about a new surface or configuration because there not used to it or because the pavement has'nt cured or worn in yet.......
It's also hard on Goodyear, the tire supplier, to come up with the best compound because of the same reason's.
'Wait'll next year'...... as they say.

It's the old story-the majority of drivers don't know how to drive an ill handling race car.
