The bible teaches that "hell" is *NOT* a fiery place of torment, but is actually the common grave of mankind.

There is no suffering in "hell", or the grave. Sometime after the resurrection, death and "hell" will themselves be destroyed.

(Ecclesiastes 9:5) For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all

(Ecclesiastes 9:10) there is no work nor devising nor knowledge nor wisdom in Sheol ["hell"]

(Revelation 20:14) And death and Hades ["hell"] were hurled into the lake of fire

A cut & paste from another question about homosexuality which I answered:

---
The two most common passages cited are Romans 1:18-32 (especially verses 26 & 27) and 1 Corinthians 6:9-20. Most people have noted that the Greek word in 1 Corinthians 6:9 that is translated into English as “homosexual” in the NIV literally means “soft” ("PC Study Bible", Greek/English Dictionary). The NASB translates this word into English as “effeminate” to better match the context (Paul appears to be using a figure of speech here). Even if the passage in 1 Corinthians is considered to be ambigious, note that the passage in Romans chapter 1 is so explicit that it is very difficult to misinterpret or mistranslate what Paul was getting at.

Jesus also defined marriage as between a male and a female in Matthew 19:1-12, and declared that any other type of sexual activity violates God’s original intent for creating sex in the first place. Jesus said that anyone how could not accept God’s decree should remain celibate (literally, a “eunuch”).

There are also certain chapters in Leviticus in the Old Testament that forbids certain sexual activity, such as sex with animals, adultery, incest, etc. Leviticus 18:22 and 20:13 expressly forbids homosexuality. There is some debate as to how much of the Law of Moses still applies to gentiles under the New Testament. It seems clear from what Jesus and the apostles taught, however, that Jesus intended for the sexual morality laws of the Laws of Moses to be incorporated by reference into the New Testament (See Mark 7:1-23; Acts 15; and, Galatians 5:13-26; for examples).

According to the Bible homosexuality is a sin like any other for which forgiveness can be received. People can twist the scriptures any way they want but when God says that homosexuality is an abomination then that is what it is.

It is not God's will that any should perish or go to hell but that all would be saved, meaning it is not God's will for the homosexual, thief, murderer, liar or anyone to go to hell but that they would repent of their sin and be forgiven, plain and simple

Hi. Firstly we Jehovah's Witnesses are Christians. Yes the Bible does condemn Homosexual acts. We as Christians know that Hell is not a place of torment but the common grave.

NO

"2358 The number of men and women who have deep-seated homosexual tendencies is not negligible. This inclination, which is objectively disordered, constitutes for most of them a trial. They must be accepted with respect, compassion, and sensitivity. Every sign of unjust discrimination in their regard should be avoided. These persons are called to fulfill God's will in their lives and, if they are Christians, to unite to the sacrifice of the Lord's Cross the difficulties they may encounter from their condition."

All of humanity (Judiasm, muslim, and all those mentioned in your question) were doom for hell because all have fallen short of God's Laws. Even as Christians, big sins or small sins, we are all sinners and are doom for hell.

But God send His Son, Jesus, to teach, to preach, and to save us from hell. Jesus is the bridge to get to heaven. Many people have already refused to cross. He said that in order to cross this bridge you must have Faith in Him, you have to be born again in Baptism, and you have to Repent for your sins. Getting over this bridge is not going to be easy. How many people do you think are willing to cross this bridge? Are YOU willing to cross this bridge? Jesus will be our judge.

If I don't get best answer, I am still happy just to get this out. May be it might help somebody out there.

Excellent question! God bless.

According to the tenets of homosexuality, should Christians-according to modern standards, a person who condones or is directly influential in the instigation of a VERBAL hate crime-go to jail simply because he/she is thought to be HOMOPHOBIC?

Yes they could go to hell.So they should ask forgivness from God as soon as they can..and change.
I really cannot understand why they don't reject this tempation from satan..I guess it hapens because the oposite sex is so imoral that there is nothing to fall in love , except the look..
My advise for these persons is to go to church and find there a lot of people of the oposite sex to fall in love with...because being christians they have the most beautiful eyes...

No they should just be locked in two big piles male and female. With a demon guarding each pile to punch the pile ever so often with his trident to see that it keeps squirming around like a bunch of twisting and squirming worms for eternity. It would be Gay Heaven.
