It appears to be a mild case in just one eye. I have a date tonight and don't want to wear my glasses. Can I wear contacts and make up?

My contacts are disposable, so I wouldn't have to reuse them. Is it ok to wear make up, like mascara or eyeliner?

yes you can wear your contact lenses.( i wear them the only time i don't is if i have conjunctivitis.) if in doubt go get your eyes checked by your doc. As for wearing make-up, there is no reason why you cant wear any sort of make-up even mascarra and eye-liner?. hope this helps.

Pink Eye And Contacts

If you are going to use the contacts just for tonight, it should be okay. The reason they say it's bad, is because if you wear your contacts when you have a pink eye and you reuse them, you will pass on the infection. About the makeup, well its not really a good idea to use your everyday makeup because you can pass on the infection later on. Use sample make up, like sample eyeshadows and use the disposable brushes for the mascara, making sure you use one for each eye and you don't re-dip the same brush. If you don't have any samples, check and see if there are any local Avon, Mary Kay or Jafra representatives and ask them for samples and brushes. They usually have samples to give out and if you ask for disposable mascara brushes I'm sure they'll give you some. Ask them for a brochure and that way they will be more happy to give you what you want hoping you will buy them something later on.

No, then your contact will become infected with it and youll have to throw it away. It will also irritate your eye and make the pink eye worse. Also, any make up you touch to that eye, like an eye liner or something will be contaminated. Pink eye is extremely contagious.

no! contacts would only make it worse and mascara and any eye makeup is a no also the conjectivitis germ could get in you make up and make it spred into the other eye if you'veput them in already i would throw them away along with any other makeup u may have used also.Make sure u wash your hands after touchin your eyes so that you dont spred it pink eye is very contageous. i would go to the doctor to get a prescription for that also so that you can get over it faster.

Don't wear your contacts and don't go on the date. Conjunctivitis is extremely infectious! I caught it once leaning my elbows on a table where a person with it had worked 2 days before! You have to have the antibiotic in you for 24 hours till you stop being contagious. Give the guy a break!

i would say No, but im not an optometrist,
