There is a fine line between artistic expression / freedom and supression / censorship. (I don't really like the way I worded that, but I hope you can make sense of it.) In any case, I think the most the government can afford to do is make recommendations and let it go at that because to chase things down that are listed as crimes takes money and force, and it then makes ordinary citizens into criminals overnight, and a very unpleasant atmosphere. Nobody wants that.
Better to let adults be adults and the government may focus on something more important, like water, agriculture, health, and education ...

There is nothing wrong with short dress in movies. Some movie themes are based on clothing styles, and almost all of the clothing stores now-a-days sell to where the money is....which is the current fashion.
As far as the language goes, I can agree that some movies are going overboard with the dirty words, but there are some people that love that type of thing, so the movies are made for those type people.
If you don't like the language in movies, then quit going to the movies, until you find a "clean" movie that you like. There are freedoms that we all live by, and if the movie makers can make money showing that type movie, then they have the freedom to do so.
Nobody is forcing you to go see those movies...if they did, then you would have a right to complain. Cool it.

I am with you on this...I know exactly what you mean.
I just came from the video store. All I saw there were lots of DVD's of recent movies, and the cover shows things getting blown up and big guns blazing....and you have to think, this eventually becomes reality.
You must understand that producers and the rest of the movie making industry go with the flow, and the trend points to vulgarity, violence and indecent exposure.
Now, I have to admit, I do enjoy some of these type movies at times, but not all, and it's so repetitive that it's now boring.
And to make a final and important point on this subject, the reality of 911 came through to everyone's household in living color, and yet they don't show it often enough because...well...it's not suitable for the young or faint of heart.
However, some movies were made about 911, and it seems to sell. And all I want to see is images of the Twin Towers falling all the time to remind me that somewhere out there lurks the biggest killers of them all, and the majority of people are so complacent and gullible and tolerant of all the crap that the movie makers produce, except when it comes to 911.
Amazing!

Debbie Does Dallas starring the unique Debbie. (Self explanatory) Die rapid: Willis kills the undesirable guy immediately and the action picture is over in 5 minutes after exploding an insignificant one hundred homes. Exorcist IV: The Conversion. She is going to church, gets born lower back, and could become a Jehova's Witness. No wait, that must be scarier than the 1st action picture.

The person who asked this question sounds Muslim to me. It's called the first amendment. Are we so immoral in America? The billboards over in Europe are allowed to have pornography on them. Lebanon has a (muslim) law that a man can have sex with a sheep, but it has to be female, and he must not eat it after he has sex with it, or he will be executed.

They have a certification system. 'U', 'UA', and 'A'. Etiquettes cannot be imposed by laws. Government need not interfere in the business.
You don't like those things, don't watch them.
