I need any bit of advice you can give me to help me understand the concept of "letting go".. of a guy.. once and for all.. and preventing me from going back to him.. Also.. how do i open my eyes and heart to new guys??!! thank you soo much!!

Well ,my answer to this question is ..you will never FORGET him .But ...Someday you will meet someone who will make him less perfect in your eyes and your heart will take over automatically.
Don't force yourself to met someone new ..it'll just happen!!Memories tend to linger when you believe it to be love ,until love shows up ! :) Good Luck !

I just lost problly the best guy ever and it has been hard getting over him but when we both realized how much we cared for each other we decided to become friends and now we are even closer than we were dating. So my advice is that u should ask him to friends! Now that we are friends i can have the great feeling of being loved and i can go to him for advice also about other guys. IT IS SO GREAT!

For me, the best way I had to let go of someone was to get rid of everything that reminded me of her. She ended up in a fatal car accident and since that day I couldn't let go. All those memories were so painful that I couldn't get on with my life. In the long run, I ended up getting rid of every little thing that reminded me of her. In your case, you should try the same thing. Get rid of pictures, music that may be reminiscent of him, etc. After that, take a deep breath and think about moving on.

well to begin you need to let go of the things you have from him, ANYTHIng that he has given you, stop seeing him talking to him and dont have ANY connections with him wht so ever!
Go out with your friends, be open, have FUN, and the next thing you know you will find someone thats very nice and you willl be happy - you just HAVE To want this to happen tho, otherwise it wont work - just think that this is for the best. Dont sit home and think about your ex or else that will kill you!

I know how you fill It has been a very long time for me to .
I think if you wont happiness in your life and you didn't have it with the one you were with and you know that then you must take the next step.
sometime life is not fair but we all must go on and there are so Meany nice men out there to meet and make you happy .
If it has only been a short time for you ,take some time and you will make the right decision

I am where you are now. What I am trying to do firstly is make some new friends and take things slowly, and when I am ready, start a new relationship if there is a connection. Just accept that that person will always have a place in your heart and that it just wasn't meant to be. Baby steps, you will get there...

there is no cure or miracle to letting someone go...for the longest time i thought i would never get over my ex, until just recently i realized since i got with my new guy i havent even thought about my ex except when i go to his fav rest. or something like that, but even then.... its just a wondering how he is and hoping he is happy kind of deal, Im extremely happy and hope he is too, i wish we could be friends again, but im thinking thats not an option anymore.. good luck hun....just give it time and find a distraction

as far as how to not go back to him - just don't. it's self control. what you need is time. time to be by yourself and to get your emotions in order. don't worry about your eyes being open to other guys right away. you don't want to be dependent on guys. just give yourself time and eventually, when the person and the timing are right, you will know it.

well what i would do is just don't think asbout him any more if u have any stuff, picture etc. get rid of it and party with other guys make new friends and find ur love good luck
