Smitty you sold me on Hearns when you break it down like that. Hard to forget about his icing of Duran and Cuevas.

1. Thomas Hearns
2. Joe Louis
3. Jimmy Wilde
4. Archie Moore
5. Sandy Saddler
6. Henry Armstrong
7. George Foreman
8. Jack Dempsey
9. Earnie Shavers
10. Sugar Ray Robinson

Tough list to compile Smitty. Tough question. Think about some of the names left off this list. Thanks Partner!

Where's your nine with Hearns at number one?

The blogbaba will most likely rename a lot of boxers already mentioned, but I'm gonna put in a sentimental favorite at ten just for the sake of argument.

1. George Forman
2. Rocky Marciano
3. Joe Louis
4. Thomas Hearns
5. Roberto Duran
6. Sugar Ray Robinson
7. J. C. Chavez
8. Marvin Hagler
9. Archie Moore

For the argument and controversy of the choice the blogbaba puts the 175 lb. Michael Moorer in at ten. Mike reeled off 28 straight KO's to start his career, and at his best would have been about the only fighter of Roy Jones's prime that could have given Roy a real test. Too bad it never happened, Mike moved up to Heavyweight for the pay days, and became the only southpaw heavyweight champion in the history of boxing, but his real claim to greatness was as a light heavy. Might have been the hardest puncher at 175 in history.

Great question, there are at least 25 other guys who could legitimately be considered.

Good question, no doubt you will get many responses. First of all, I must note that Tommy Hearns fought James "Black Gold" Shuler at 160 lbs. on the Hagler-Mugabi undercard and he beat Dennis Andries to win the WBC 175 lb. title in early 1987. Later that same year he went on to beat James the Heat Kinchen at 160. My list would include:

Thomas Hearns
Lennos Lewis
Mike Tyson
Wilfredo Gomez
Jaime Garza
Joe Louis
George Foreman
John Mugabi
Matthew Saad Muhammad
Carlos Zarate

If you doubt any of these choices I respect that but look up their knockout ratios.
