Do F1 student needs to pay tax for "California State Tax" on "interest income" from "Saving Account" (Assuming the F1 Student is at his first 5 years in US)?

From the Federal Tax, the F1 student for the first 5 years is NR status, as the result , he doesn't need to pay tax on interest income to federal.

But how about for the California State Tax?

If you are exempt from US taxes due to a tax treaty, you are exempt from tax at the state level as well. The tax treaty between the US and your home country trump any state rules or laws that conflict with the treaty.

i used to be Catholic, and no, they do by no skill say that. To me and those I knew becoming up, that word grew to become into in straight forward terms utilized by making use of what we seen the religious nuts who additionally danced around with snakes, babbled incoherently (spoke in tongues), and loudly, obnoxiously, praised Jesus at each turn. Now that i'm older and wiser, I evaluate the Catholics to be purely as nutty, yet in a distinctive way ;-) somewhat, that isn't real, the Catholics evaluate faith extra a private difficulty and generally shop it to themselves as a replace of annoying others with their perspectives. that's somewhat cool.
