Boy I hear this cliché so often it's laughable.

They always say that if there's no drama that existence is useless and they always say "boring".
Like no matter the inequities of life they are to be celebrated because without them boredom is caused.

It's a heap of bull.
The very reason we created civilization is to balance out the stark inequities of life. No civilization on earth now or before has mastered it yet.
Can perfect balance be achieved?
Not by imperfect beings such as ourselves, no.
But it can be made much better.

Differing beliefs come from an individual's reading of a universal truth. Human beings have bad reading modules, bad perceptors, C-class/D-class recorders. So it is THAT which makes inconsistent beliefs so prominent.

We can only get a part of the actual truth or sometimes a distortion or flat misreading of a truth. Those who know about humanity's notorious inability to accurately & completely discern truth don't stand so rigid about their beliefs because they acknowledge room for error being a human. Though they may hold their beliefs tight to chest they are open to worthy suggestion if it pans out.

It is those who DO NOT acknowledge their OWN humanity in this regard that cause all the grief & pain due to their vaunted belief systems.

If everybody came at everything from the same viewpoint, the world would actually run much smoother. We all observe the laws of math equally. 1 + 1 = 2 ALL THE TIME & everybody believes the same.

The world as we know it today would not exist if we all believed the same thing. It would actually be a BETTER world because unneccesary unproductive conflict wouldn't get in the way of commonly shared goals & pursuits.

The reason you like the mix-up of viewpoints is that you understand that no one has an absolute command of truth & it is beneficial to exchange varied ideas to get a more complete idea of truth.
But if actual truth became known by all without error then to have differing beliefs would actually be counterproductive.
Once you know the real answer that answer should be followed because you understand its results.
Only in this period when no one fully has a grasp on a situation does the exchange of ideas work.

It would. It also gets boring when everone takes a position and holds on to it for dear life, because then there's no room to learn and grow. The world is much more interesting when everyone shares their opinions and then listens to others with an open mind.

If everybody thought the same way as everybody in terms of religion and life then things would get very boring very quickly.

Beliefs cause trouble.
