To cool a sunburn, Use cider vinegar in your bath. Sponge it over the areas that are burnt. Then use pure aloe juice/gel to help relieve the burn/stinging. The redness will go away as you heal. There is no magic potion. it takes time to heal a burn. But the cider vinegar & aloe will help relieve the pain.

Only thing that will get rid of the burn AND the redness is time. Use some ALOE GEL (available at pharmacies, if you just ask for it), which should help alleviate the soreness.

There are special products in pharmacies for sunburns. That would be your best option.
Now, if you want home remedies, milk can freshen up your skin. If it is a severe burn, and you have the time, putting shredded raw potato over it absorbs much of the heat and will help you out.

noxzema always helped me. I would put it in the fridge for a little bit before I would use it. The vinegar might also help but it might burn at first depending on the severity of the burn.
