I believe that the purpose of life is to prove to God that we believe that He exists....
I believe that my religion of choice validates and strengthens the substance of my faith....
It helps me to answer the questions of life that I could not otherwise make sense of....
Whether or not you choose to believe in God is your own personal choice....
I don't force anyone to believe anything...
The greatest chance I have to changing someones life in respect of their spiritual choice is to live my life to the standards of my God...
Therefore, I present myself as an example to what God can truly do for my life....
People that force religions on other people are probably not comfortable in what it is that they believe...and encouraging or forcing others to believe in what they believe offers them some sort of validation in their choices....and that way they can be more confident in their life...
Because...I know that God calls upon your life...and if you ever have the discomfort of confusion.....then, there is probably a pulling on your spirit to live out a purpose that God has created you to live for....

I'm an atheist religion to me is just a way so humans can feel better about why they are here and that no matter what happens they will continue to exist in the "afterlife" for me if i was little more gullible maybe i would believe it to i don't believe in god because i cant see the purpose of his existence as well as the fact that there is no prof for his existence I'm sorry but i need prof for his existence not only a 1900 old bock (the bible) and some people telling me if i don't believe this and that i will go to hell that makes god look like a dictator
as for why do people try to push on others its because many them consider that its their obligation to draw people to their belief in a way it was essential for the respective religion in the beginning to attract new members
maybe some people need religion but i don't so u decide what u want or how u feel about this matter

Without God what hope do you have? Why do you exist? To me I don't understand how people live a happy fulfilled life without God, or do they? Just thinking that this life is all there is, now that is depressing. As far as proof for existance open up your eyes and look around you. There are too many natural beautiful things in this world for them to have been placed here by chance. Staticts show that it is virtually impossible for all the intricate parts of life (i.e. the molucules, atoms, cells, organs) to just happen to arrange themselves into a perfect order. Or we could just believe that the next time you play poker with someone and they get a royal flush ever single time that they are not cheating because there is a 1:a number with lots of 0's that it really happened. I am not going to tell you that you should have a religion. That is something you have to decide for your self. If you are truely seeking God will let you find Him. As for those who push religion on you especially Christianity, I am sorry for those people who do. You see out of good intentions they just don't want to see people to go to hell. That is what we believe if you don't accept the gift of Jesus. But what many don't realize is that no matter what we say or do the final question will come down to you and God. Will you follow or will you turn away. I believe everyone has to make their own descion. What you decide is up to you. I will express my view but I never try to push it on to someone. To me that is useless and as you said annoying. Anyways I hope and pray that you find the answers to which that you are seeking.

Let's see...
I believe in religion because I can't explain how else the universe came together. There's so much order, complexity, and sensibility in the way that the universe is put together, when there culd have just been chaos. It seems like there MUST have been some intelligence behind its creation. I'm not sure whether there is of there isn't, but I have faith.
I believe in MY religion (Catholicism) because its teachings benefit others and make sense to me. Jesus' teachings seem too reasonable and benevolent to come from humanity, sowhere else could it have come from, other than God?
As for the psycho-preachers, they do every religion an injustice. People who feel the need to force their beliefs on others are struggling with them themselves. Those who have true faith should be able to kick back, knowing that ultimately things will work out. People will see this confidence, and converts will come to them because of it.

Although my religion is quite different from other people's. I believe that the mind can be triggered to be either random chaos or a unified, shining light. I think this is a good analogy for how people can be confused or wise when it comes to understanding about life. I believe there are certain authors out there that have done a great job at conveying the meaning of life. I believe it is only possible when you look at life on a grand scale, and temporarily think of another rather than yourself. In this way it feels like you are contributing to a higher source, and the amazing, magical aspect about it is, it makes you feel happy. Call it the world's most wackiest drug, but it's a true, proven aspect of our human nature: that we have questions. We want to know the answers, we want to know the truth, we care about the outcome, we care about gain or loss, we care about our stake in life. And the only way to really transcend this and find lasting happiness, is through the care and comfort of other people. Religion helps instill this thought, although I must say that it should never be acted on by guilt alone. It should be a special message.

ok. I'm a devoted Christian (not a particular type. i don't get why tehre are so many different types of chrsitians. i thougth we were all for the same team? anywya) because I have experienced God presence. Now you might think that i might've experienced an emotion created by my body to fill in whatever emotional voids i have in my life. But i don't think like that. I believe that God has made my life so difficult, because without the tradgedies that i have...so terribly experienced in my life, i never would've came to actually....well basically konw my spiritual savior, my father...my dad. And you might be thinking, HAHAHAHA. what a bunch of crap. But no, it's not. Because life is a test for God to know if u can enter his kingdom...his house after the test is over. U might think, well how do u konw for SURE. but that's just it. i don't. this could all be a hallucination because of my life's tragedies. but that's why faith is so important in this religion. And there is evidence. Scientists have found marks taht might be noah's ark. And only God's work could survive time. The 3 crosses are also still here, and there are even history records of a man performing miracles
And even if u don't believe, despite ur efforts. try to at least get into it by making a reason. like, i really got into God by first thinking, "well, it wouldn't hurt to serve someone as an "aftelife safe" so i won't go to hell. adn the thought of hell made me believe and come to serve god, not beecause of hell, but because of my love for him.

I do not know why people have to go this route. I do have one because I love the powerful all mighty creator of this universe including that is seen and unseen...the thing is I am not good at establishing a method in showing this entity how I love it and how I would like pray for it. I would much rather depend on others wisdom...so I look into various religions...which to me is a set method of showing this entity everything I stated above. The religion that truly serves that purpose to me...I will belong to...I think in my opinion, it makes no difference if it was Christian, Muslim or Jewish...I believe its all on the same trail....
Only my opinion,,,and you asked. I also believe if there is no set rules and an established method people start coming up with all kind of crazy things to show this entity how they love it...and might start to sacrifice their children...etc... bad deal .

I would suggest that you first rest in your God. It sounds like you are saying "I don't want religion just to stay out of hell, I need for God to have a bigger part in my life--to mean something." DEISM is a belief in a supreme being(God). It(deism) is an acknowledgment of God. Some stop at that point. Some don't want to mess with religion(organized). My relationship is with Christianity. I find a purpose in knowing God. I can rely on him to guide me in times that I don't know what to do. I know I can pray and God will help me to understand. I also know that sweat is required. To put feet to the actions. When you believe in God you take a different view of the Bible. You take the words to your heart not just to your head. Enough said, I will pray that you find peace with God.
