She's 26 and is in the Marines. She says she is E-9 and works in intelligence 02. She is also living in Washington, North Carolina. Are there any Marine intelligence offices anywhere near where she lives? And how can I find a list of names of active duty Marines living in North Carolina? I need to find out if she's is real or not, I'd appeciate all the help anyone can give me. Thank you all

One more thing..I do have a picture of her in her uniform while she was in Saudi Arabia, the band around her right sleeve looks like a SF or SP ? Can you tell which one would be right? And can you tell me what rank would be more sensable for a 26 year old girl in the Marines?

26 and an E-9? Damn, my husband missed his calling!!! It is very possible she is in the Corps and stationed at Cherry Point MCAS in Havelock, NC. It's about an hour drive, give or take. But an E-9?! HIGHLY unlikely!! I could see anywhere from an E-4-E-7. E-7 is possible. I know a kid who is 27 and is an E-7 in the Army. Since I can't see a picture regarding the SF or SP you are referring to, all I can do is make an educated guess. SF stands for Security Forces in the US Air Force and SP stands for Shore Patrol for the Navy and Coast Guard and MP stands for Military Police for the Army. I can't remember what the Marines wear. (I think it's the MP sleeve)
Maybe someone needs to find out if she is an actual Marine or if she is in some other branch.

She is a pathological liar and you don't need that kind of a nut for a friend. Ask her to send you a picture of herself in her SERGEANT MAJOR uniform. NO ONE can make Sgt. Major in 8 years (assuming she joined at 18). Also, I just did a GOOGLE.COM search for ANY U.S. military base at WASHINGTON, NORTH CAROLINA. Washington, NC isn't a very big town, only about 15,000 people. There doesn't seem to be any military there at all. Unless she LIVES in Washington and commutes to Greenville where the National Guard 514th Military Police Co is, or over to BEAUFORT USMC base, she's a nut!. I wouldn't wear any nice shoes around her 'cause she is piling the male bovine excrement in mass quantities!
A 26 year old SGT. MAJOR!!! AHAHAHAHAHOHOHOHOH

There is a web site that I can look into but I would have to have her first and last name to do it. The only reason that you can't look on the site is you have to be in the Marine Corps or a spouse and have your spouses info to log on. If you want you can send me an email and I can look it up for you. It will tell you her rank, MOS, and a lot of other info that you might need.

the highest she can be is maybe a sergeant, staff sergeant, or corporal. she hasn't been in long enough to be E-9. The closest places related to the Marines are Cherry Point, Jacksonville and Camp Lejeune. i don't know where to find a list of active duty marines. try a recruiting station or the military bases.

it is imposisble to achieve the paygrade of E9 by the time you are 26. even granting enlistment at the earliest possible age(17). The absolute highest paygrade you can come in is E3, and that's with college credits, but it still takes sveeral years to put on E9, because you must be in the preceeding paygrade a for a couple of years before you are even eligible to advance.
Oh, and E9s.. are pretty much appointed.. they are the highest ranking enlisted rank, save one( and there is only ONE E10 in each branch of the military at any given time).
She's full of it.

As above - not even a jar-head could make E9 in that length of time. The only possibility is that she came in to the military with strong language skills. and was recruited by "gifting" a pay grade. But unless she speaks an Arabic language like a native I find it very hard to believe.

She's lying. An E-9 requires a certain amount of time-in-grade and even if she joined at 18, there's no possible way she could have met the number of years required.
Kick her to the curb and don't waste any more of your time.

Real easy, just ask to see her military ID card.
It will have her rank listed on the card.
Either it will show :
E-9
MGySgt
SgtMaj
She might try telling you, she just hasn't gotten a new ID since she was promted, doubtful, but at most, she would have only been promted once since she got a new ID card, so it should atleast show:
E-8
MSgt
1st Sgt

She is lying to you.
E9 is a Sergeant Major. There is zero chance she could make that grade in seven years.
You really do not need to look for anything else. If she is lying about that, she is lying about other things as well.
