Not sure where u r based, but most local London schools are crying out for people who want to be TAs. As long as you show commitment and enthusiasm, it is quite easy to find a position, you just have to ring around and see if there are any vacancies. Most institutes offer training whilst on the job. We've had cleaners working in our school who have become TA's and who have progressed onto becoming admin assistants within the school, so if you are really dedicated, there is nothing to stop you.

Every college I know only hires graduate students, and some undergraduates for the TA positions. TAs must be very familiar with the materials in the class at pretty much an expert level and with the processes at the institution, so it would be extremely difficult to TA unless you went to that institution and did very well in the classes you wanted to TA in. However, you can contact professors to ask if you can shadow them so then you can see what they do and follow them around and read the class materials. Hope this helps.

Why do you want to avoid going to college?
If you're not prepared to get the necessary qualifications, how does anybody know you'll be commited to the job?
Who's going to want to leave their child in the care of someone not qualified to do so?
If you really wanted this job, you'd do the work to deserve it - as it is you're justcoming across as someone who wants to get close to other peopels kids for no apparent reason, and I find that a bit creepy

Keep voting Labour.
No offence but shouldn't education and training be a requirement for any teaching job - support or otherwise?

Try asking around your local schools about volunteering at first to gain experience, this could lead to offers of a paid position.
