Those I've known who've been in that situation, gather money from friends/family to bury them properly but without frill. I would imagine creamation would be the easiest....

The family member is sometimes buried on the family land without treatment (embalming, etc.), sometimes cremated (a much cheaper option), or, even cheaper, buried at sea. There is always a way to put a loved one to rest, even without money.

There are guidelines with reference to the threat-free & suitable disposition of lifeless bodies. The everyday embalming, casket, & funeral, can fee $10,000. yet this isn't needed, there are some low-fee options. yet do not placed this on your will, the will isn't examine until eventually afterwards. you are able to pick an huge buddy or buddy to finish your needs. or you are able to pre-plan your funeral preparations with a funeral director. There are $one hundred caskets, produced from cardboard, which will properly be cremated. Embalming is largely required if the body is to be seen for various days.

in some states, the state gives 250.00,if they were a member of a church or group, sometimes they help,or the family could do a benefit?sometimes families take out a loan, then ask for donations to help with cost of funeral instead of flowers, sometimes a funeral home will work with you also.

If the family has no money, the state will pay for a paupers burial, it won't be very nice, just a basic, burial, but it won't cost the family any money

Did they have a will or life insurance with their job ? I know when our son passed away the cemetery and the funeral home would 'take payments' for so many months. Also there are ways to keep the funeral costs down.
