If you can avoid it, then don't do it. It is a terrible idea.

You can limit your caloric intake without needing this drastic surgery. It has a huge risk of side effects. Also I met someone once who said to me she couldn't understand why anyone would do it willingly(she lost part of her stomach/intestines to disease). She could not eat anything bigger than the size of a potato or she'd vomit.

So seriously, try losing weight the real way. Eat whole grains(whole grain or multigrain pasta and bread), lots of fruits and veggies, drink lots of water. If you drink lots of pop ween yourself off of it and make it a treat. Cut out sugars where possible as well.

Get exercise, whatever you enjoy because it's what you'll do the best. Live life.
