Well i kinda like this guy, but hes only 13 and in the 8th grade, i'm in the 10th grade, i'm on the younger end of the grade though i'm not going to be 16 for 3 monthes. I met him in a theater group adn we live about 30 min away, i joke with him and talk to him, but we don't see each other outside of the theater group. I like him but i'm worried that everyone will think i'm too old for him. The school he comes from is a lot "faster" than my school. for some reason in my school system everyones on a slower track than else where, like people didn't really start dating till this year. Hes defiently matture for his age, and hes slightly taller than me. I really like him but i'm not sure what to do. I"m really worried that eveyoen, especialy him will think hes too young and i'm too old.

Well, if you really like him, don't worry about what others say. And a good rule of thumb is that if you're more than four years apart during middle/high school age, the relationship shouldn't happen. So even though I'd say that it's a bit off for the guy to be younger, by all means, there's nothing wrong with it.

i dont think its a good idea. just because he is an 8th grader and seems mature, it doesnt mean that he is not immature in other areas. if you dated, it would be really uncomfortable to go on double dates or to spend time with your firneds. i know you should always go out with someone if u like eachother but as you get older, u will get more mature, and he will start to seem younger to you and then when. you should date a guy ur own age. its important to date someone ur age becasue ur both at the same stage in life. think...if u two continue dating for a year or more, you will be a senior or about to graduate while he is still in his 2nd year of highschool. but i guess if none of this makes any since or if none of these things matter to you, tehn go for it.

well, i'm 16 1/2 and my BF is 15. i'm a sophomore and he's a freshmen. When we first started going out, people did think that he was a little young and i was a little old, but we didn't care! now if you don't really see him, that's a problem. but if he really likes it then he'll make an effort. so go for it!!! Don't worry about what other people will think. Good luck^^

Age never matters. never ever. my parents are 10 yrs. apart. just be sure hes the right guy. it doesnt matter what anyone thinks of how old the difference is. if u like him, and he likes you, go for it.

It sounds sick when you first read it, but 3 years really isn't bad. It doesn't really matter what others think. If you like each other, go for it.

If you want to go for it, go for it. Everyone might give you a hard time about it but so what? If you really like him it will be worth it.
