Umm well I've used a double boiler... helped it not burn and stick.

Utility pot for eggs poach. There are strainers to use
for chocolate melting. Use the different egg cup holes for
the fondue candles and make a double boiler over it.

I use an electric Wok for meat & vegetable fondue another for cheese or chocolate if I am having a large group

Of course - any pot you can keep hot.... the tulip shape of a fondue helps keep splatters inside and sits nicely over a heat source.... but any rig which can do the same is fine.... like a pot on a camp stove on low heat...

Yes, you can use a wok. An electric wok works best. You can use chicken broth with sauterne wine in it and even give your fondue an oriental flair by using Asian sauces and serving sticky rice.
